Acrylic on Canvas

Inspired by the delicate ranunculus and a quiet moment in the artist’s studio, this study captures a personal tableau featuring a beloved yellow vase and a hand-painted butterfly purse. As a foundational precursor to the Repair Series, this work marks the moment when floral forms began to evolve into a more prominent, abstract language.

ABOUT THE SERIES
The Study Series represents a dedicated, intimate space for artistic exploration and discovery. Though these works may not adhere to the rigid parameters of a formally labeled collection, they act as essential, foundational endeavors that bridge disparate concepts. Within this series, ideas are rigorously tested, techniques are experimented with, and new creative, conceptual possibilities begin to emerge.
More Info
Please note that these works are intentionally imperfect. Visible marks, layered textures, and embedded materials are integral to each painting and are not considered flaws or defects. Elements such as dust, fibers, and evidence of revision are purposefully left in the surface as records of the work’s making over time. Rather than aiming for a polished or pristine finish, these paintings embrace messiness, transformation, and human touch as essential parts of their meaning. Each piece reflects a process of evolution rather than refinement, and should be understood as complete in its irregularity. Each artwork comes with an official packet containing: Certificate of Authenticity, business card, postcard, and bio sheet.

DIGITAL/AI DISCLAIMER
Artworks shown in environmental mockups are AI-generated and may not perfectly represent final size, color, or composition. Additionally, digital photos may slightly vary in color or cropping from the original piece. Please reach out to schedule an in-person viewing if you have any questions.
